Panels & Workshops
Applications are now Closed
You Can Be a Panelist!
Just about anyone can run a panel or workshop on a wide variety of topics. Are you an avid fan of a show? Do you know so much about a topic that you just want to tell more people about it? Then we want you! Panels are one of the main source of entertainment for our attendees.
What Exactly is a Panel?
Panels are a large part of the programming for Hazard Con. They may be run by special guests, attendees, staff or even experts. Special guests might run panels on their recent experiences or even teach you about how to get into the industry. Attendees can help out by providing panels and workshops on just about anything they are passionate about. Such as a favorite anime, manga, video game, genre, hobby, etc. Staff might give you some insight on what it is like to be apart of convention staff, what its perks are, or even how you can volunteer for the next year. Experts will provide a detailed informative experience in their areas of expertise.
Need Ideas?
Attendees can have many different passions and interests, and we want panels that all will enjoy. Entertainment panels should make them laugh and have fun. Educational panels should go deep and explore different subjects. Fandom panels should encourage group discussion and interaction. In the end your panels should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Both Eastern and Western subjects are welcome at Hazard Con. However, anime, gaming, and Japanese culture will always be here.
Perks for Panelists
Reimbursement Policy
- For each 55 minutes of programming accepted, you will receive 1/3 off compensation for your purchased badge.
- This reimbursement will be given to the head panelist only. Other panelists may be considered for reimbursement on a case by case basis. It is up to the head panelist to distribute reimbursement to other panelists.
- Panelists will check in at Con Ops when they arrive to confirm their panels. After the completion of all their panels, panelists should report back to Con Ops to receive their reimbursement. If panelists are hosting more than one panel, they will report to Con Ops after completion of their final panel to receive their reimbursement. Exceptions to this will be made on a case by case basis.
